Controversial issues in understanding chronic bronchitis
Abstract
Despite the fact that chronic bronchitis is the oldest and most frequent disease, its place in pulmonary pathology remains uncertain. One cannot but agree with Oswald's opinion that the term "bronchitis" in different countries and even in one country is not understood in the same sense.
The effectiveness of tracheal fenestration in severe chronic forms of respiratory failure
Abstract
Fenestration of the trachea reduces resistance to respiratory air by 47% (Rohrer, 1916), facilitates exhalation due to the elimination of positive pressure in the lungs, which entails a hernial depression of the posterior wall of the trachea and large bronchi into the lumen and collapse of small bronchi, and reduces secretory-ventilation obstruction.
Some indicators of hemodynamics and oxygen balance in tissues during subanesthetic bronchoscopy
Abstract
In recent years, in connection with the improvement of anesthesia methods, subanesthetic bronchoscopy c. thoracic surgery in the diagnosis of lung cancer takes the leading place. In addition, it began to be carried out as a therapeutic and preventive measure.
Rheography of the lungs and oximetric determination of blood flow velocity in patients with heart lesions
Abstract
Slowing down of blood flow velocity is one of the early signs of circulatory failure (G.F. Lang, A.L. Mikhnev, A.G. Dembo, A.M. Tyurin, I.T. Teplov, etc.), and the blood flow rate changes earlier than other hemodynamic parameters: venous pressure, stroke volume of the heart, the amount of circulating blood, etc. (A. L. Mikhnev, Ts. A. Levina, B. I. Shpolyanskaya).

Abstract
In 1965, we studied the effectiveness of treatment of newly diagnosed elderly (over 50 years old) patients with active tuberculosis - rural residents (the duration of dispensary observation - 1 year). The data from 18 regions of the RSFSR on 785 patients were analyzed.
Secondary flora in pulmonary tuberculosis
Abstract
There is no consensus on the importance of secondary flora in pulmonary tuberculosis. Some believe that the secondary flora can have a significant impact on the outcome and development of the tuberculous process, while others deny the pathogenetic role of secondary infection.
Etiology and clinical picture of chronic purulent otitis media in patients with tuberculosis
Abstract
The main, although not the only etiological factor that determines the emergence and long-term existence of purulent otitis media, is infection and development of bacterial flora in the middle ear cavities. The causative agent of the disease can be a wide variety of microbes, including mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Morphological and histochemical changes in the pituitary gland in rheumatism
Abstract
The literature describes in detail the various manifestations of rheumatism in clinical and morphological aspects. The widespread use of histochemical methods in recent years has made it possible to study more deeply the progressive disorganization of connective tissue in various organs, which is the basis of the rheumatic process (A.I. Strukov, A.A. Tustanovskiy, G.V. Orlovskaya, T.I. Suchkova, etc. ).
Диагностическое значение определения серомукоида при ревматизме
Abstract
In the diagnosis of rheumatism, significant help is provided by modern biochemical research methods, in particular, the determination of protein-carbohydrate complexes, the number of which increases markedly in rheumatism. Seromucoid is a mucoprotein rich in carbohydrates, soluble in perchloric acid. "
Phagocytic activity of blood leukocytes in children of different age groups with rheumatism in the active phase
Abstract
At present, the reaction of phagocytosis as a method for assessing the reactive properties of the organism is attributed great importance (A. D. Ado, T. G. Nikolaev). Of the many ways to study the activity of the reaction of the reticuloendothelial system, the most accessible and direct is the determination of the phagocytic properties of blood leukocytes.

Abstract
Pyrazolone derivatives (butazolidine, butadione, pyrabutol) are effective antirheumatic agents. However, treatment with drugs of this group can be complicated by leukopenia - hypogranulocytopenia or agranulocytosis (G. G. Lebedeva, 1959; A. F. Taranenko, 1959; 3. I. Zilberman, 1963).

Eosinopenic reactions to actg and adrenaline in children with bronchial asthma
Abstract
The eosinopenic reaction of peripheral blood in response to the introduction of ACTH (Thorn's test) makes it possible to roughly judge the functional capabilities of the adrenal cortex.
