Drug allergy

Goryachkina L.A., Tomilec V.A., Kyznecova M.M., Somov B.A.

Abstract

Recently, allergic diseases have increasingly attracted the attention of doctors. There are cases of high sensitivity of some completely healthy people to the so-called low molecular weight compounds in general and to drugs in particular. There are reports of deaths due to the development of anaphylactic shock in a number of persons sensitized to antibiotics, sulfonamides, antipyretics, as well as to iodine, novocaine, etc.

Allergic skin tests for bronchial asthma in children

Novikova V.A., Yabelevich M.M., Moiseeva S.A., Razjivina R.V., Yakubovskaya N.Y., Yanover L.G.

Abstract

We observed 546 children aged 1 to 14 years, including 426 patients with bronchial asthma (of which 372 with infectious-allergic form and 54 with allergic) and 120 healthy. Hereditary burden was found in 224 (52.1%) patients. Bronchial asthma, eczema and other allergic diseases were noted in parents and close relatives 69; 72 and 83 children, respectively. 242 children (56.7%) in the first years of life suffered from exudative-catarrhal diathesis.

Experience in the use of immunosuppressive drugs in the treatment of bronchial asthma

Varfolomeeva T.B., Ivanova V.A.

Abstract

At present, a severe course of bronchial asthma is increasingly common, often complicated by hypertension or hypoxemic coma with a fatal outcome. Therapy with steroid hormones is not always effective and very often fraught with serious complications. In the last 10 years, immunosuppressants have been successfully used to treat collagenoses and some other diseases with the phenomenon of autosensitization.

Abstract

Under our supervision, there were 200 children with manifestations of combined forms of allergy (77 girls and 123 boys at the age: up to a year — 104, 2-3 years - 47, 4-6 years - 30, 7-11 years-16, 12-14 years - 3). When studying anamnestic data in 38.7% of children, a hereditary burden was established in the form of manifestations of bronchial asthma, eczema, angio-neurotic edema and urticarial rashes, various allergic reactions to the use of medicines and certain types of food.

Our attention was attracted by sulfamonomethoxin (synonyms - danmeton, drug 04-3476), synthesized at the V.I. S. Ordzhonikidze V. A. Zasosov, N. A. Kapina and K. A. Bushueva. Abstract

We believe that two factors play a leading role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis: 1) lipoid infiltration, 2) deposition of fibrin and plates on the walls of blood vessels. The great importance of lipid metabolism disorders, hypercholesterolemia in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis does not raise any doubts. However, the simplified interpretation of the lipid-infiltration theory and the idea that only one cholesterolemia has an exclusive role in the development of atherosclerosis conflicts with many clinical and experimental data.
