To the diagnosis of hypothyroidism
Abstract
With the development of the endocrinological network, the number of cases of hypothyroidism is increasing. Statements about the rarity of this disease are apparently associated with insufficient recognition and poor accounting for hypothyroidism [2]. So, as a result of special measures to detect hypothyroidism in the Chelyabinsk regional endocrinological dispensary in 1966, this disease took 4th place among the reasons for attending the dispensary, ahead of thyrotoxicosis.
Androgenic activity of the adrenal cortex ii bromine exchange in patients with hypothalamic syndrome
Abstract
One of the characteristic manifestations of the pathology of the hypothalamic region of the brain are neuroendocrine (pluriglandular) and metabolic disorders. An intimate relationship has been established between the function of the gonads and the adrenal cortex [1, 19, 20].
Study of prostatic acid phosphatase in patients with impotence
Abstract
Until now, the literature has not sufficiently illuminated the question of the importance of the prostate gland for the organism as a whole and its; role in the complex chain of neurohumoral regulation, in particular the regulation of sexual activity. The available data are contradictory in assessing whether the prostate is a true endocrine gland or only has a facultative neurohumoral effect.
Secretion of Growth Hormone in Obese and Diencephalic Syndrome
Abstract
In 1957, Jules and Hollo described a clinical syndrome they called "pubertal basophilism." The authors believe that during puberty, the functional activity of the basophilic elements of the pituitary gland sharply increases with an increase in the secretion of A CT G, TSH and FSH. According to Jules and Hollo, the pathogenesis of this disease is the same as that of Itsenko-Cushing's disease, and the clinical picture of the disease is typical for mild forms of Itsenko-Cushing's disease.
The use of chlorpropamide for diabetes insipidus
Abstract
After the discovery of Arduino et al. In 1966, the antidiuretic effect of chlorpropamide in diabetes insipidus, a number of works appeared in the foreign literature [2-5, etc.]. It was reported about the effective use of the drug in 3 patients with idiopathic diabetes insipidus [1], in 12 of 13 patients with neurohypophyseal diabetes insipidus [2].
Clinical and morphological evaluation of special studies in the diagnosis of chronic deforming bronchitis in children
Abstract
Among chronic nonspecific lung lesions in children, inflammatory (acquired) diseases have a significant proportion, and their frequency has increased in recent years. It is generally recognized that the leading role of bronchial damage in the progression of these diseases. The depth and extent of the lesion of the bronchial tree are different: from moderate to severe deformity with cylindrical extensions to saccular bronchiectasis.
Immediate results of therapy for previously untreated patients with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis
Abstract
Despite the constant decrease in the incidence of tuberculosis, the percentage of diagnosed patients with destructive forms is still quite high. This group of patients is of particular clinical and epidemiological importance, therefore their cure is one of the most important tasks in the fight against tuberculosis.
Hexokinase activity of erythrocytes in patients with atherosclerosis
Abstract
Many questions of the etiology and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis have not yet been sufficiently studied and remain controversial. However, the last decade has been marked by new advances in this area. Atherosclerosis has ceased to be regarded only as a disease of excess fat in the diet and only as a result of a violation of fat metabolism.
Tactics of a surgeon and anesthesiologist for combined injuries in children
Abstract
In recent years, childhood injuries have attracted an increasing interest of surgeons around the world. The III All-Russian Conference of Pediatric Surgeons was entirely devoted to this problem. In the reports of professors G. A. Bairov, M. V. Volkov, S. Ya. Doletskiy, V. M. Derzhavin and others, in particular, the high efficiency of the activities of city interdepartmental commissions in combating child injuries was noted. Created in 1955, these commissions include representatives from the health authorities, traffic police, public education and city government.
About trigeminal neuritis
Abstract
The causes of trigeminal neuralgia are numerous. Its pathogenesis is very complex. It must be assumed that under the influence of long-term manifestations of the pain factor in trigeminal neuralgia, pathological restructuring occurs in the trigeminal system, which contributes to the transition to organic change in the peripheral parts of this system.
On the use of some psychotropic drugs in the complex treatment of epilepsy
Abstract
The experience of studying epilepsy speaks of an important place in the clinical picture of its emotional disorders, which are extremely polymorphic, can act as independent syndromes or be part of more complex psychopathological formations. In addition to paroxysms in the form of variants of dysphoria, interparoxysmal pathological changes in affectivity are observed, which tend to deepen.
About the possibility of ligation of the main artery of the duodenum
Abstract
The pancreatoduodenal area is a zone where the complex topographic and anatomical relationships of organs and formations are combined with a large variability of the architectonics of blood vessels. Literary data on the possibility and consequences of ligation of individual duodenal vessels are extremely contradictory, which prompted us to clarify some details of the blood supply to this organ and try to trace changes in the vessels and in the intestinal wall - in the long term after the main arteries and their branches are turned off.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding in menopause with persistent corpus luteum
Abstract
One of the manifestations of the decompensated course of the climacteric period is the so-called "dysfunctional uterine bleeding". In the vast majority of women, dysfunctional uterine bleeding in this period is associated with the presence of one-phase (anovulatory) cycles.
Excretion of estrogen in the urine with threatening preterm labor
Abstract
With threatening premature birth, as well as with some other pathological processes (late toxicosis of pregnant women, diabetes mellitus, rezusconflict pregnancy, hypertension, pyelonephritis, etc.), new research methods are of great practical importance, which make it possible to judge the state of the intrauterine fetus: ECG and PCG studies, amnioscopy, determination of the content of steroid hormones, especially estrogen, in urine and blood.
Furacilin in the treatment of tubal infertility
Abstract
The pioneer of the introduction of furacillin in obstetric and gynecological practice is prof. R.L.Shub. The powerful bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties of furacillin, the absence of toxigenic and hemolytic properties, the ability to activate phagocytosis and increase the phagocytic capacity of cells [1], the possibility of parenteral and intracavitary administration distinguish it favorably from the antibiotics we previously used for hydrotubation.
Nonspecific reactivity of the body with anemia of pregnant women
Abstract
The immunobiological relationship between mother and fetus organisms attracts the attention of researchers in various specialties. In the study of this issue, the merit of our domestic scientists is great: M.A.Petrov-Maslakov (1952, 1970), O. E. Vyazova (1951), L. S. Volkova (1967), I. A. Nikolaevich (1967) and dr.
About the numerical ratio of the sexes of newborns

Based on the mechanism of XX and XY sex formation, one would expect that the number of men and women will be the same. However, in life we observe significant fluctuations in the sex ratio in one direction or another, both in different geographical populations and by age groups.
Fibrin formation in ischemic heart disease
Abstract
Despite the large number of works devoted to the study of the process of thrombus formation in atherosclerosis, both the pathogenesis of the complications that arise and the mechanisms of protective and adaptive reactions aimed at eliminating this threat remain not fully understood. The objective of this study was to study some of the features of fibrin formation, the final stage of the blood coagulation process, in healthy people and in patients with atherosclerosis.
Cystic fibrosis in an infant
Abstract
A 5-month-old child with a diagnosis of epidemic hepatitis was admitted to the hepatitis department of the 1st infectious diseases hospital in Kazan. The child is one of twins, was born from the first pregnancy at term, weighing 1650 g, was breastfed. He suffered from jaundice of a newborn, was discharged from the hospital on the 18th day. After 5 days of staying at home, the boy fell ill with pneumonia, for which he was in the hospital, where he received antibiotics and serotherapy. There he suffered furunculosis.
On repeated perforations of stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers and gastrointestinal anastomosis
Abstract
Repeated perforation of gastric and duodenal ulcers are rare and account for 0.2 to 3.7% of sutured ulcers. Multiple perforations are described as casuistic cases. So, 3-fold perforation of ulcers was described by D. D. Chalykh (1955), R. M. Borushkov (1961); 4-fold - B. V. Zharova (1953); 5-fold - V.I.Demchuk (1963).

Abstract
We observed 48 patients (12 women and 36 men) with exacerbation of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. All patients had "niches". A stomach ulcer was in 17 patients, a duodenal ulcer - in 27, a combination of a stomach ulcer and a duodenal ulcer - in 4.
About the methods of processing the hernial sac during hernia repair
Abstract
In connection with the appearance on the pages of the press of a message (Yu. A. Ratner, 1970) about the inexpediency of removing the hernial sac in case of large recurrent hernias, we decided to share our thoughts and experience on this issue.
Isolated rupture of the pancreas
Abstract
Isolated closed lesions of the pancreas are extremely rare in the practice of a surgeon. Usually damage to the gland is preceded by trauma to the abdomen. We observed a rupture of the pancreas in an elderly patient in whom the nature of the injury could not be established. The unusualness of this observation and the difficulty of diagnosis prompted us to publish it.
Enterobiopsy for diseases of the biliary tract
Abstract
With a disease of the biliary tract (chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis, cholecysto-hepatitis), the small intestine is often involved in the pathological process. Patients have enteral syndrome of varying severity - bloating, rumbling in the abdomen, intolerance to certain foods, unstable stools, etc.

Abstract
A comprehensive study of the blood coagulation system in the dynamics of surgical intervention (every 25-30 minutes) in 75 patients operated on the abdominal organs (for free hernia, chronic appendicitis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, benign tumors) was carried out.
On post-stress changes in the content of circulating eosinophils
Abstract
Post-stress eosinopenia is a well-known fact. Until recently, most researchers considered glucocorticoid eosinolysis to be the cause of this phenomenon. But now this point of view is increasingly challenged. This controversial issue is the subject of this work.
Pain thresholds in women with chronic inflammatory processes of the uterine appendages
Abstract
We studied the thresholds of peripheral skin sensitivity in the Snegirev-Ged zones in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs before and during the complex treatment. To determine the zones of skin hyperesthesia, the method of electrothermometry with the combined apparatus of Mischuk and the application of a chemical skin irritant (Rosenthal's paste) were used.
On the issue of preventive activity of organ extracts and blood serum of animals

This report presents the materials of a comparative study of the protective effect of the extract of the lungs, bronchial lymph nodes and blood serum in animals revaccinated against whooping cough using conventional subcutaneous and intranasal methods (methods, as well as the results of studying the correlation between the preventive properties of the tested substrates and the concentration of uM- and yG -antibodies.
The functional state of the adrenal cortex under conditions of premedication, anesthesia and surgery in children
Abstract
Many works have been devoted to the study of the functional state of the adrenal cortex under the influence of premedication (preparation for anesthesia), anesthesia, and surgical trauma in adults [3, 12, 13, 23, 24, 30, 37]. As a result of these studies, it was found that premedication, anesthesia and surgical trauma cause activation of the secretory activity of the adrenal cortex, powerful formation and release of steroid hormones into the blood. Such an increase in the amount of corticoids is necessary to maintain the water and electrolyte balance in the body, carbohydrate and protein metabolism, vascular tone and other factors that ensure the constancy of the internal environment.
Some questions of the clinic of anemia
Abstract
The article discusses some issues of the clinic of anemia based on the experience of the Kuibyshev Hematological Center, organized in 1957 and has two hematological departments for 50 beds for the treatment of adults (with daily outpatient visits), clinical, biochemical laboratories based on the multidisciplinary clinical hospital of the Kuibyshev Medical Institute them. D. I. Ulyanova. The experience of treating 553 patients with various forms of anemia, consulting and teaching work in hematology and the results of studies of 1013 patients with cancer of various localization were used.
A quantitative method for assessing the effectiveness of treatment of preschool children with posture disorders
Abstract
Until now, to denote the results of treatment of children with postural disorders, such no quantitative terms as “deterioration”, “improvement”, etc., which are subjective in nature, are widely used, which makes it impossible to more accurately assess the effectiveness of treatment.
Analysis of economic costs in the examination of rural population for tuberculosis with mobile fluorographic units
Abstract
Fluorography in our time has taken a firm place in anti-tuberculosis work. Its role is also invaluable in the detection of non-tuberculous diseases of the chest organs. In this regard, the planning and organization of the fluorographic service are of great importance for public health throughout our country. The search for the most acceptable forms of work in various conditions will have a significant impact on reducing economic costs when conducting fluorographic surveys of the population. However, very little attention is paid to this issue according to the data of periodical literature.
About joining the edges of wounds with a sticky plaster
