On some issues of the clinic, pathogenesis and morphogenesis of pneumonia
Abstract
The study of the etiology, clinic, pathogenesis and morphogenesis of pneumonia has a long history, however, there are still a number of unresolved questions regarding the role and significance of individual factors in the origin of this disease.
The state of hemodynamics in patients with chronic nonspecific lung diseases during surgical treatment
Abstract
Identification of disorders in the state of the cardiovascular system in patients who are being prepared for surgery is one of the most important aspects of preoperative examination of patients. It acquires particular importance in chronic nonspecific lung diseases. As shown by numerous studies, these diseases cause more or less pronounced disorders, up to a picture of chronic pulmonary heart disease with severe circulatory failure [5, 7, 13, 14, etc.].
Indications for tracheotomy in acute respiratory failure after lung surgery in young children
Abstract
The development of anesthesiology, the expansion of the possibilities of mechanical ventilation, the development of methods for prolonged tracheal intubation contributed to a significant limitation of indications for postoperative tracheostomy.
Insufficiency of blood circulation in toxic pneumonia in young children
Abstract
With severe toxic pneumonia in young children, circulatory disorders often develop, which sharply worsens the general condition of children and plays a decisive role in the outcome of the disease. The clinical picture and therapy of circulatory failure in pneumonia in young children has been relatively little studied.
Clinical and bacteriological examination of children with tuberculosis
Abstract
In young children, the typical clinical manifestations of primary tuberculosis are considered to be damage to the lymphatic system of the lungs, a tendency to generalize the process and spread by lymphohematogenous, bronchogenic and per contuitatem routes [11, 12, 13]. Recently, caseous and generalized forms of tuberculosis are rare. The most frequent and typical form of tuberculosis in children is tuberculous bronchoadenitis [1, 2, 7, 12].
On the treatment of tuberculosis patients with single doses of tubazide
Abstract
The method of single administration of daily doses of tuberculostatic drugs is increasingly being used in practice. However, the question of how patients with tuberculosis tolerate single doses of tubazide is still very poorly covered in the literature; moreover, the available data are largely contradictory.
Treatment of wounds with specific adapted bacteriophages
Abstract
Studies carried out in Tbilisi by D.P. Gvenepadze and A.S. Mchedlishvilli (1959), V.A.Soboleva (1964), G.P. Kiknadze (1967), etc., have shown that polyvalent staphylococcal bacteriophage and other wound bacteriophages exhibit high lytic activity against antibiotic-resistant strains of microorganisms. We have established (Krasnoshchekova, 1968) that Kazan strains of antibiotic-resistant staphylococci isolated from patients with orthopedic-traumatological profile are sensitive to Tbilisi polyvalent staphylophagus (series No. 1) only in 65.2%.
Disability recovery after fractures of the pelvic bones
Abstract
Pelvic fractures are severe injuries that lead to long-term disability and, in some cases, permanent disability. Among disabled people from injuries of the musculoskeletal system, the proportion of patients with fractures of the pelvic bones accounts for about 2-3% [1, 2].
Pneumographic diagnosis of certain diseases of the spinal cord and spine
Abstract
Topical diagnosis of diseases of the spinal cord and spine often presents certain difficulties. The pneumographic method for studying the subarachnoid space of the spinal cord was proposed by Dandy in 1919. In our country, it began to be used relatively recently, after the well-known works of MV Tsyvkin [1-6].
About fibrinolytic processes in preserved blood
Abstract
Numerous studies have shown that blood loses its coagulation properties during long-term storage [1, 2, etc.]. However, the mechanism of these changes is not well understood. Along with the consumption of procoagulants during partial blood clotting during storage, a decrease in the activity of coagulation factors can be explained by the activation of fibrinolysis [3].
Prevention of complications in prostate adenomectomy
Abstract
Thromboembolism of the pulmonary, coronary, mesenteric, cerebral and other arteries, as well as profuse primary and secondary bleeding [1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10], are among the causes of mortality during surgery on the prostate gland. These formidable complications are explained by damage during the operation of large vessels of the urogenital venous plexus, increased fibrinolytic and anticoagulant factors in the blood during the operation and in the first days after it [4] and, finally, congestion in the small pelvis at a later date and an increase in thrombus formation in damaged venous vessels.
Criterion for the cure of tuberculosis of the genitourinary system
Abstract
This work is based on the data of clinical, radiological and laboratory examination of 205 patients with tuberculosis of the genitourinary system, who are undergoing outpatient treatment and dispensary observation over the past 5 years. 132 of them are registered for the active group (VA and ѴB) and 73 for the inactive group (ѴВ).
Violation of the secretion of growth hormone in obese patients
Abstract
Obesity is a disease in which fat metabolism is primarily disturbed. The central nervous system and endocrine glands are involved in the regulation of fat metabolism; under their influence, absorption, transport, deposition, exit from the depot and utilization of fats are carried out. Growth hormone plays an important role in this. Therefore, the study of its secretion in obesity has both theoretical and practical significance.
Combined use for circulatory failure strophantidine acetate and methyluracil
Abstract
Cardiac glycosides are one of the main treatments for patients with circulatory failure. However, therapy with cardiac glycosides and diuretics is often unsuccessful; moreover, with pronounced degrees of circulatory insufficiency, the toxic effect of glycosides appears early.
To the treatment of gastrogenic tetany
Abstract
One of the severe complications of the course of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer is a relatively rare gastrogenic tetany, known under various names: chlorohydropenic syndrome, chloropenia, chloroprivial uremia, gastrogenic chloroprivative tetany, hypochloremic azotemia, etc.
Interrelation of disorders of motor and secretory functions of the stomach in peptic ulcer disease
Abstract
The purpose of our work was to compare the disturbances in the motor and secretory activity of the stomach in peptic ulcer disease in different phases of the disease. In parallel, we studied the content of K and Na in blood plasma and in gastric contents.
Detection of autoantibodies in gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer
Abstract
The questions of the pathogenesis of peptic ulcer disease, despite the abundance of works in this area, still cannot be considered resolved. Since the large role of immunological reactivity in the pathogenesis and course of many diseases has now been proven, it is of interest to study the state of sensitization of the body in such a persistent, recurrent process, which is peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
Architectonics and topography of the intrahepatic biliary tract in early childhood
Abstract
The imposition of biliodigestive anastomoses in newborns (with atresia of the biliary tract), performing liver resection in older children and other surgical interventions in the same contingent of patients require knowledge of the architectonics of the biliary tract and their relationship with other tubular structures both in the liver itself and outside it ...
To the method of entropy analysis of the eeg
Abstract
One of the informative indicators of the psychophysiological state is the level of asymmetry of the phases of the main EEG rhythm [1, 2, etc.]. This indicator can be calculated as the mathematical expectation of the sign of the first EEG derivative
Results of compression tonometric tests and tonographic studies at different stages of primary glaucoma
Abstract
Recently, the interest of ophthalmologists in compression-tonometric tests, in particular, to one of the test options - simplified topography, has increased, which enable a practitioner to get an idea of the state of the hydrodynamics of the eye under study without complicated and expensive equipment.
Leptospirosis pomona in Izhevsk
Abstract
Mass diseases of Pomona with leptospirosis in urban conditions are very rare. Within the USSR, they are described in the city of Grozny [1-3]. Since these reports exhaust all information about the urban outbreaks of Pomona leptospirosis, the diseases we observed in 1968 among the inhabitants of Izhevsk are of certain interest.
On the advisability of combining ultrasound with paracervical administration of anti-tuberculosis drugs
Abstract
The existing methods of treating patients with tuberculosis of the genitals are not always effective enough, especially in chronic encapsulated processes. The method of administration of anti-tuberculosis drugs, as well as the complexity of the therapy, has a significant impact on the results.
Etiology and prevention of cervico-vaginal fistulas
Abstract
Cervico-vaginal fistulas are formed against the background of various damages of the cervix, including its central ruptures. Although these fistulas are relatively rare, they can lead to serious consequences - miscarriage, inflammation of the uterine appendages, infertility. There is no doubt that the prevention of these fistulas, which has received little attention in the literature, will significantly reduce the number of such patients.
Direct blood transfusion for sepsis after criminal abortion
Abstract
On the mechanism of action of caffeine on the neuro-endocrine apparatus in hypercholesterolemia
Abstract
According to A.I.Seranova (1963), K.I. Tsintsadze and ooavt. (1969), caffeine contributes to the development of alimentary hypercholesterolemia. IK Shkhvatsabay (1956) showed that long-term use of caffeine in rabbits leads to a decrease in alimentary hypercholesterolemia and weakly affects vascular lipoidosis. Hence the need for further study of caffeine in the treatment of atherosclerosis.
Excretion of 17-ketosteroids in emotional stress
Abstract
The adaptation of the body of a young person to new specific conditions of activity characteristic of a higher educational institution causes significant shifts in many functional systems of the body (Kh. S. Khamitov, E. V. Kotlyarevsky, 1970, 1971). In this case, the pituitary-adrenal system occupies a special place.
Local leukocytosis in cervical osteochondrosis syndrome
Abstract
We studied local and segmental-radicular leukocytosis in cervical osteochondrosis. Blood was taken from the 4th finger of the hand and from the Erb's supraclavicular point. The difference between general and local leukocytosis of 1000 leukocytes was taken into account, the smaller difference was not taken into account.
On the surgical treatment of lumbar osteochondrosis
Abstract
Until now, there is no specific scheme of indications for surgical treatment of patients with osteochondrosis. The study of the clinical picture of the disease in more than 200 patients and the comparison of the obtained data with the operational findings allowed us to propose a working classification of osteochondrosis of the lumbar spine, on the basis of which indications for conservative and surgical therapy can be formulated.
Reactivity of the body of children with tuberculous meningitis
Abstract
In tuberculous meningitis, the reactivity of the body is significantly reduced, which affects the course and outcome of the disease. Changes in the hemogram can serve as indicators of reactivity in children with tuberculous meningitis: BF Shagan's lymphocytic index and Sh. D. Moshkovsky's nuclear index.

Belaya).
On the performance indicators of the city ambulance station
Abstract
The issue of the performance indicators of the city ambulance station for elk still cannot be considered completely resolved. If, when deploying hospitals and outpatient-type institutions, they use more or less specific indicators developed in the practice of these institutions that establish their throughput, capacity, the ratio between the population and the number of beds or outpatient visits, then for ambulance stations, the development of performance indicators is still only outlined (E. S. Antipenko, P. I. Ramazanov).
