Observations on athymated animals

Vorobiev V.N.

Abstract

Dr. W. Worobjew (Kasan). Beobachtungen uber athymierte Tiere.

On the carbonate number of blood plasma as an indicator of alkaline reserve

Yakimov V.F.

Abstract

Dr W. Ph. J akim off (Kasan).

On the issue of functional ability and disorders of the function of peripheral vessels and capillaries

Skulsky A.

Abstract

Dr. N. A. Skulsky (Kijew).

Treatment of anemia with high doses ferri hydrogenio redueti

Dryagin K.A.

Abstract

D-r K. D r j a gi n. (Kasan).

On the issue of interscapular-thoracic amputation in malignant neoplasms of the shoulder-scapular region

Zalozhneva Z.D.

Abstract

In view of the fact that the question of the use of one or another type of surgical intervention for malignant neoplasms of the shoulder of the scapular region has not yet been fully clarified (which is partly overtaken by the comparative rarity of this disease), and that each insufficiently radical operation leads in these cases to a serious outcome, while on the contrary, a timely radical operation gives good results, surgeons are forced to report the corresponding individual cases, so that in the future, on the basis of statistical data, they can build correct conclusions.

Abstract

D-r M. M. Lewinsohn.

Rhodium of the endocrine system in the pathogenesis of skin diseases

Yasnitsky N.N.

Abstract

The doctrine of the etiology of skin diseases is currently the least studied theoretically department of dermatology, full of vague, shaky hypotheses and deep contradictions, logically and inevitably arising from our insufficient acquaintance with the essence and nature of the anatomical and physiological connection of the skin with various organs of our body. Until recently, the view dominated in dermatology, according to which all diseases of the skin were interpreted as secondary processes, due mainly to the presence of a hypothetical harmful principle in the blood.

Abstract

An interesting view of the causal relationship between these two anomalies is expressed O. Beck in his report. Based on Virchow's research, observations by Ghaawitz and his own, Beck believes that facial asymmetry in caput obstipum musculare is caused by basilar depression of the base of the skull due to unilateral pressure of the atlas on the proc, condyloideus of the occipital bone. The latter causes a disorder of the growth of the base of the skull and, as a consequence, basilar kyphosis and scoliosis.

The direction of the incision depends on the position of the fistula, but more often the incision should be horizontal.

Leucorrhoea and the autonomic nervous system. Каboth (Arch. f. G., Bd. 125)

Abstract

Каboth thinks that the primary leucorrhoea occurs when irritation touches organs with parasympathetic innervation. This fluor is the result of increased secretion of the cervical glands, and not extravasation of the vaginal wall. Neither the nature of the vaginal flora, nor the glycogen content, nor the degree of acidity are the primary causes of such leucorrhoea.

Dr. A. Egorov. Tables of Blood Cells. Med. ed. "Phys." Berlin, 1926, 3 tables (47 figures in color) and 17 pages of text

Goryaev N.

Abstract

The need for an accessible guide to the differentiation of the main forms of blood cells is really great in our country. Unfortunately, the book being parsed will hardly satisfy this need. As for, in particular, drawings, then, of course, some forms - for example, myeloblast lymphoidocyte - are well represented and significantly complement the generally available illustrations. For that, other forms are hardly appropriate in the manual, which should save money on each drawing. This is, for example, fig. ll, I confess I have never met such a basophile; these are fig. 19 and 20, depicting leukoplasts, these cells are so unusual (perhaps the schematization was too influential here) that they would rather embarrass than help in research.
