Postoperative leukocytosis. Witter (Surg., gyn. a. obst., 1925, 1)

Abstract

Witter, on the basis of a study of 30 cases, comes to the conclusion that 1) postoperative leukocytosis reaches its inaximum a on the 4th hour after the operation and returns to normal on the 5th day , 2) its height is directly proportional to the duration of the operation and the degree of the surgical trauma, the other factors are not; are significant, 3) it is expressed mainly by polynucleosis, 4) its curve generally corresponds to the temperature curve, but not with complete accuracy.

Witter на основании изучения 30 случаев приходит к заключению, что 1) послеоперационный лейкоцитоз достигает своего inaximum a на 4-м часу после операции и возвращается к норме на 5-й день, 2) высота его прямо пропорциональна продолжительности операции и степени операционной травмы, остальные же факторы не; имеют значения, 3) выражается он главным образом полинуклеозом, 4) кривая его в общем соответствует температурной кривой, но не с полною точностью.
