Healthcare of the TR as a result of the first five-year plan and its immediate tasks
Abstract
On the basis of the greatest successes achieved by the USSR as a result of the implementation of the first five-year plan of industrialization of the country and the socialist reorganization of agriculture, a process of rapid pulling up to the most advanced levels of a number of national republics, regions and regions, which until recently were in a state of economic and cultural backwardness, is taking place. This is the great strength of the Leninist national policy, which proves to the proletarians and oppressed colonial peoples of the whole world that only through the proletarian revolution lies the only path to the complete economic, political and cultural emancipation of the multimillion national masses and their rise in a short historical period of time from primitive and feudal forms of economy to the highest levels of socialist production and a complete revolution in the everyday and cultural way of life.

To the method of accounting for the effectiveness of cash physioprophylaxis and its long-term results
Abstract
The widespread deployment of new forms of mass health-improving and preventive work in industry in accordance with the main tasks of public health at this stage (the fight to reduce the incidence and the fight to increase labor productivity) required special accounting and verification of the effectiveness of all health-improving measures taken and carried out "(Resolution of the Board of the NKZ RSFSR from 20 / VI-1931).

Eye professional selection of port movers
Abstract
From the beginning of 1933, professional selection of loaders of the Odessa port was included in the tasks of the psychophysiological station of water transport.
The eye office was then faced with the question of the rules of eye professional selection for port movers. This question made itself felt especially because not a single relevant guideline, not a single official resolution contained specific instructions on the rules for the eye professional selection of loaders in general and port loaders in particular. Therefore, the eye department of the Unified Dispensary and Station took the lead in developing the above rules.

Organization of school activities for the visually impaired
Abstract
In building a socialist state, along with such problems as the collectivization of agriculture and the industrialization of the country, it is extremely important to prepare a healthy human change. It is imperative that the coming change be physically and intellectually strong, powerful, so that it will be able to continue building the state and at the same time, at the right time, become breastfeeding in defense of it. The Soviet government, its health care and public education bodies, of course, are guided in their activities by these goals and objectives.

About acute septic diseases of internal organs
Abstract
The clinical picture of any infectious disease is, as is known, a reflection of the struggle between two principles — a microorganism and a macroorganism; each of them has its own specific characteristics, and as a result of this, even such pronounced diseases with a specific pathogen, such as relapsing fever, malaria, cholera and typhoid fever, give in each individual case different options, sometimes representing difficult diagnostic tasks. I will only recall at least the last epidemic of typhoid fever in Moscow, when, for example, there were cases where recognition fluctuated for a long time between pneumonia and typhoid fever and only a serological reaction and the further course of the disease clarified the true state of affairs. If this is the case with infections, where there is a certain, specific pathogen, then in acute septic diseases of the internal organs, we can expect a much greater variety of the picture, course and outcome of the disease.

Determination of the basal metabolic rate according to the Read'a formula
Abstract
The study of the basal metabolic rate is of great clinical importance as a method of functional testing of the endocrine system; knowledge of the basal metabolic rate is important not only because it helps us to recognize the hyper and hypothyroidism of the thyroid gland, especially with a little characteristic clinical picture, but also because with the help of a systematic study of gas exchange it is possible to obtain data for judging the success of therapeutic measures.

Factors contributing to the development of progressive paralysis
Abstract
At present, progressive paralysis is looked at as late spirochetosis, as true syphilis of the brain; however, almost everyone admits that for the defeat of c. n. with. some additional conditions are needed for the manifestation of the activity of the spirochete in the nervous tissue. The 5% susceptibility of luetics to progressive paralysis makes researchers look for these conditions in the ‘constitution (Kretschmer, Kalman, Roster, Shostakovichi others). A view was also expressed about the different nature of spirochetes, giving in some cases a picture of general syphilis, in other cases, a picture of neuro-lues. The neurotropic nature of the spirochete is advocated by Levaditi and Marie.

Fourth venereal disease
Abstract
Over the past 2-3 years, foreign periodicals have provided descriptions of the increased incidence of the 4th venous disease. According to Frei, in 1931, more than 200 cases of this disease were noted in Berlin alone, while earlier this disease was observed very rarely. Since 1927, this disease has been detected in the USSR. Isolated cases are described in Odessa, Kharkov, Kiev, and over the past two years more than 10 cases have been demonstrated at a meeting of the Moscow Dermatological Society and scientific conferences of Moscow clinics.

Osteomyelitis of the upper jaw
Abstract
Osteomyelitis mainly develops in long tubular scars, while in short and flat bones they are rarely observed. Ostomyelitis of the upper jaw is especially rare. Cadenat and Cola say that maxillary osteomyelitis is in the last row in the statistical tables. Trendel found only 4 cases of maxillary osteomyelitis in 1279 cases of osteomyelitis, i.e. 0.3%. Panzel reports 7 cases of maxillary osteomyelitis per 15 thousand patients. Mayer collected 10 cases in the literature until 1901, Francois collected 32 cases in 1914, and Terracol in 1926 already cites 50 cases of osteomyelitis of the upper jaw in his work.

On the motives for resorting to clandestine abortion
Abstract
The legalization of abortion is known to have caused a significant decrease in the number of clandestine abortions. However, on a modest scale, clandestine abortion continues to exist to this day, for which the mortality rate from sepsis in case of incomplete abortion, although sharply fallen, still exists.

For the prevention of postpartum diseases by autohemo-transfusion
Abstract
In recent years, autohemotherapy has acquired the right of citizenship, as one of the therapeutic methods, in almost all areas of medicine and, in particular, in obstetrics and gynecology. She was the direct heir, so to speak, of the previous methods of treatment - serotherapy, vaccine therapy and protein therapy, containing the essence of the one, the other and the third. The use of autohemotransfusions is technically much easier than vaccine therapy, and especially autovaccine.

Antiviral intradermal reaction as a diagnostic and prognostic method in postpartum (post-abortion) patients
Abstract
Blessly claims that the skin is the most sensitive tissue in relation to bacteria that cause septic diseases. Testing studies by Ravin and Bublchenko also showed that the skin reacts very differently to the antivirus introduced into it, so the most severe cases ending in death usually gave a negative or weakly positive reaction.

On the use of alcoholized suspension of sp. pallida for serodiagnosis of syphilis
Abstract
In our last communication (Geltzer and Yunusova) for serodiagnosis of syphilis, we proposed an alcoholized suspension of sp. pallida. In previous studies (Geltzer and Popov, Geltzer and Sushkova) with a number of antigens from sp. pallida (alcoholic extract from sp.pallida according to F. Klopstock'y, carbolized suspension of sp.pallida according to Gaelitgen'y, suspension of sp.pallida in saline NaCl and formalized suspension of sp.pallida), it turned out that, although such antigens are They are more sensitive than organ extracts usually used in WaR, but nevertheless, due to some disadvantages, they are not very suitable for wide practical use.

On the issue of iodine content in drinking waters of the Mari region
Abstract
When determining the iodine content in drinking water, one must first of all take into account the fact that it is impossible to use directly taken water samples not only for quantitative determinations, but even for the qualitative discovery of iodine, since the most sensitive reactions can often turn out to be completely unusable.

Two cases of formation of an artificial vagina
Abstract
The formation of an artificial vagina in the absence of it, both congenital and acquired, is an operation for relatively young people and all methods of operation have not yet received a proper assessment, but nevertheless, even in Russian literature, this operation is numbered in dozens. If we add to this number more unsuccessful cases, which, undoubtedly, are often not published, then we get a fairly significant number.

A case of allergic eczema
Abstract
The origin of eczema is still considered to be heterogeneous. French authors (Gaucher, Darier and others) think that eczema is an expression of "diathesis", that metabolic abnormalities are of predominant importance. German dermatologists take a different view. Jadasson, for example, says (I quote from Bremenor and Shimanko) - “the most important part of eczematogenic irritants belongs to the external world and enters the skin from the outside. Bloch considers every eczema as an idiosyncratic reaction.

Review of 70 operations for echinococcus

Working in an area exceptional in terms of the spread of echinococcal diseases, where the indigenous population is mainly engaged in cattle breeding, for three years (from 15/29 29 to 15/3 32) I had to see and operate on echinococcus a lot in the city of Semipalatinsk. sick. Moreover, we had to observe the relatively rare localizations of echincoccal cysts.

Organotherapy for blood diseases
Abstract
Hormones of various endocrine glands, being powerful regulators of growth, tissue nutrition and metabolism in the body and affecting both groups of the autonomic nervous system, the autonomic and sympathetic nervous system, at the same time have either an intensifying or inhibitory effect on the activity of the hematopoietic apparatus.

Gannushkin P. B. Clinic of psychopathies, their statics, dynamics, systematics. VII + 142. Moscow. Cooperative company "North", 1933
Abstract
Gannushkin begins with the fact that “clinical psychiatry is going through a crisis.” Speaking without making absolutely any distinction between Soviet psychiatry and bourgeois psychiatry, referring the so-called crisis to Soviet psychiatry, G. is definitely making a mistake. psychiatry at a time when it is freeing itself from the slavish dependence in which it was previously in bourgeois psychiatry, when we have outlined and are pursuing our own paths for the further development of theoretical and practical psychiatry, and when we successfully apply in psychiatry the Marxo-Leninist methodology, which is outside doubts do not know the crisis and resolves any crisis situation.G. until the last moment of his life could not free himself from the influence of bourgeois psychiatry, he entirely stands under the banner of the old, Kraepelin psychiatry and he speaks openly about this in his book.

J. Abelin Die Naturwissenschaften, 1933, no. 11
Abstract
J. Abelin reports (Die Naturwissenschaften, 1933, No. I) that during the far-reaching cleavage of an artificially iodinated protein, products are formed, which in their morphogenetic and metabolic effects are very close to the thyroid hormone. glands. When administered per os, these substances increase the basal metabolism, prevent the deposition of glycogen in the liver, increase respiration and blood circulation, etc.

It depends on his decision whether a patient suffering from an extremely severe form of pancreatic disease, its acute necrosis, will get into the hands of a surgeon in a timely manner.

Bardenhewer. On the conservative treatment of uterine perforations during abortion. (Ztbl. F. Gyn4 No. I, 1933)
Abstract
Author for the last 8 months. in the gynecological department of the Berlin hospital observed 21 perforations. These were exclusively cases of perforation made by doctors during the termination of pregnancy in the first 3-4 months. Cases were prognostically favorable in that they were reported immediately after perforation, at the latest after 3 hours.

Waldstein Towards the Prevention of Postpartum Eclampsia. (Ztbl. F. Gyn. No. 9, 1933)
Abstract
Already in 1927, the author pointed out that in order to combat postpartum eclampsia, artificial delivery of women predisposed to eclampsia is needed. According to his observations, severe preeclamptics, promptly resolved, are less likely to suffer from seizures after childbirth than women with mild preeclamptic symptoms after spontaneous childbirth. This, according to W., serves as evidence of the preventive effect of operative delivery. With the author's method, only 5 cases were observed. eclampsia — 4 lungs, one severe. The frequency, therefore, fell from 2.1% to 0.46% compared to the previous one.

Hemangioma of the liver in newborns Hussy Paul (Zbl. F. Gyn. No. 1, 1933)
Abstract
Hussy Paul (Zbl. F. Gyn. No. 1, 1933) within a short period of time observed three cases of liver hematomas in newborns, not having met them earlier, despite the fundamental dissection of all corpses of newborns without exception. In two cases, the mothers were elderly primiparas.

Latent disorders of liver function and reticuloendotheliosis after eclampsia Diesel (Arch. F. Gyn. B. 153, N. 3, 1933)
Abstract
Latent disorders of liver function and reticuloendothelium after eclampsia. (Arch. F. Gyn. B. 153, N. 3, 1933). The author studied 29 women who underwent eclampsia from 1923 to early 1932. Studies have shown that after the disease for many years, there is a disorder in the function of the liver and the reticuloendothelial apparatus, expressed in a poor ability to accumulate congorotes and in a reduced sensitivity to this per os levulosis.

Schuller-Christiania Gigon A. ("Schweizer. Med. W." No. 1. 1932)
Abstract
Gigon A. describes the case of the so-called. Schuller-Christiania diseases ("Schweizer. Med. W." No. 1. 1932). This disease usually occurs in young people; especially striking clinical symptoms of pituitary origin: diabetes insipidus or dystrophia adiposo-genitalis, further acromegalic forms, exophthalmos. Sugar diabetes in this disease has not yet been described. Very often the b-s have a general xanthomatosis. Further characteristic of this disease are defects in the bones, mainly in the flat bones and, above all, in the skull, as well as in the bones of the rest of the skeleton. These defects are caused by an interlayer of a peculiarly yellow tissue rich in cholesterol and lipoid. Hypercholesterolemia is found in the blood. In the literature, this disease is referred to the group of so-called general lipoidosis.

About the essence of stuttering. Paikin (Sovetsk, psychoneur., No. 6, 1932)
Abstract
Paikin. On the essence of stuttering (Sovetsk, psychonevr., No. 6, 1932). The author approaches the problem of stuttering from a “genetic” point of view. He sees the root of stuttering in the “initial clonus,” that is, in the repetition of words and syllables without signs of convulsion, which is observed in children during the period of speech development, as a physiological phenomenon. On the basis of the repetition of words and syllables of non-convulsive phenomena, the author denotes "clonus" completely incomprehensible. "With unusual excessive emotional stimuli, early speech mechanisms are revived, the clonic repetition of syllables and words that are normally inhibited", and this leads to stuttering.

Meeting on February 26, 1933
Abstract
1) Ave.-Assoc. E. D. Ruzsky made a report on the shortcomings of submerged silk sutures applied to the aponeurosis during laparotomy. The report was based on 4 cases of the appearance of late — after a month or more — inflammatory infiltrates in the skin wound with the formation of fistulous passages and the expelling of silk sutures after well, even by primary intention, of the healed abdominal wall incisions during laparotomies. The suppuration lasted for a long time — from 7 months. up to 2 years, until all the sutures came out, and the patients remained disabled all this time. The speaker sees the reason for these complications in the properties of silk threads, namely, in their non-absorbability, porosity and ability to drain. In view of all this, he does not advise using silk as a ligature material for suturing the aponeurosis of the abdominal walls during laparotomy.

Meeting on March 23rd
Abstract
Prof. V.S.Gruzdev reported on a review of cases of ectopic pregnancy that were permanently observed in the Kazan obstetric and gynecological clinics (Kazan Medical Institute and the Kazan Institute for mustaches, doctors) for 1931 to 1932, and paid particular attention to the rapid and significant increase in the number of cases in Kazan ectopic pregnancy in general and interstitial pregnancy in particular. The speaker puts this circumstance in connection with the increase in the number of induced abortions in Kazan and the widespread use of intrauterine injections here for the purpose of both preventing and terminating pregnancy.
