Abstract
In this book, the author sets himself the task of introducing young doctors and average med. staff of institutions for the Protection of Maternity and Infancy with modern views on the nutrition of young children and the latest achievements in this area. The author's persistent view of dietotherapy as the only remedy for digestive and nutritional disorders in early childhood is undeniable for anyone working in the field of pediatrics. Having established the value of dietetics and diet therapy, the author introduces the scientific data that underlie the preparation and selection of food. In this regard, the author's work provides complete and comprehensive data. All the mixtures used have been carefully developed in terms of composition, preparation technique, calorie content, indications for use. The author pays special attention to milk, its properties, to the equipment of a dairy kitchen. The chapter in which the author introduces the nutrition of a pregnant and breastfeeding mother is valuable.

В этой книге автор ставит себе задачу познакомить молодых врачей и средний мед. персонал учреждений Охраны Материнства и Младенчества с современными взглядами на питание малолетних детей и последними достижениями в этой области. Настойчиво проводимый автором взгляд на диэтотерапию, как на единственное лечебное средство при расстройствах пищеварения и питания в раннем детском возрасте, является неоспоримым для всякого работающего в области педиатрии. Установив ценность диететики и диетотерапии, автор знакомит с теми научными данными, которые положены в основу приготовления и подбора пищи. В этом отношении работа автора дает полные и исчерпывающие данные. Тщательно разработаны все употребляющиеся смеси в отношении состава, техники приготовления, калорийности, показаний к назначению Особое внимание обращено автором на молоко, его свойства, на оборудование молочной кухни. Ценной является глава, в которой автор знакомит с питанием беременной и кормящей грудью матери.
Книга д-ра А. В. Поповой явится ценным руководством для врача, которому приходится иметь дело с детьми раннего возраста.
