Abstract
In the study of hand and operative field cultures at different moments of preparation for surgery and during the operation, the author observed that the data from the operative field cultures are identical to the data from the hands after surgery.

Л. Я. Шостак (Нов. Хирургия, 1927, № 6), при исследовании посевов с рук и операционного поля в различные моменты подготовки к операции и при производстве последней, наблюдал, что данные посевов с операционного поля тождественны с данными с рук после операции. Операции никогда не производятся ни вполне стерильными руками, ни при вполне стерильном операционном поле. Добиться первичного заживления, по мнению автора, можно не разработкой новых методов очищения рук, а изучением вопроса об иммунизации организма к гноеродной инфекции. И. Цимхес.
