Abstract
According to Keller's method, two electrodes made of 10x10 cm zinc sheet were placed on a rubber sponge lining of the same size and about 1 cm thick and one was placed on the area of relative dullness of the heart, the other exactly opposite to the back. The electrode on the chest was connected to the positive pole and on the back to the negative pole of a small portable iontophoresis machine. The rubber gasket of the anode was impregnated with a 1.5% solution of MgSO4 or MgCl2, while the cathode was moistened with distilled or fresh tap water. Sessions started from 5 minutes and gradually extended to 10 minutes, initially the current was 0.5 mA, and then with sessions it also increased - up to 1.5 mA. The course of treatment consisted of 12 sessions.

По методике Келлера два электрода из листового цинка 10х10см накладывались на подкладку из резиновой губки таких же размеров и толщиною около 1 см и помещались один — на область относительной тупости сердца, другой точно напротив на спину. Электрод на груди соединялся с положительным, на спине — с отрицательным полюсом маленького переносного аппарата для йонтофореза. Резиновую прокладку анода пропитывали 1,5% раствором MgSO4 или MgCl2, катод же смачивали дистиллированной или свежей водопроводной водой. Начинали сеансы с 5 мин и постепенно удлиняли до 10 мин, первоначально сила тока была 0,5 мА, а затем с сеансами она также повышалась — до 1,5 мА. Курс лечения состоял из 12 сеансов.
У 27 больных боли прошли, у 15 наступило явное улучшение, у 8 — слабое улучшение и у 3 эффекта не было. Прекращение или ослабление приступов стенокардии сочеталось с улучшением ЭКГ и биохимических показателей.
Метод не вызывал каких-либо побочных явлений, и его можно проводить и в амбулаторных условиях. По эффективности он не уступает витамину Е, резерпину и аспирину, и, видимо, следует ожидать более высокой эффективности при комплексном их применении.
