Abstract
Numerous Wassermann and Meinisk blood tests in healthy pregnant and parturient women, as well as in newborns, have led Esch and Wieloch to the conclusion that in pregnant women, The Wassermann and Meninisk single positive blood test in the absence of any syphilis symptoms is still insufficient for the diagnosis of lues latens, because at the end of pregnancy it is not uncommon to see positive RW and RM in perfectly healthy women.

Многочисленные исследования крови по Wassermann’y и Меіnicke у здоровых беременных, рожениц, а также у новорожденных, привели Esch’a и Wieloch'a к заключению, что у беременных, рожениц и родильниц при отсутствии каких-либо симптомов сифилиса однократное исследование крови по Wаssеrmаnn'y и Меinіске с положительным результатом еще является недостаточным для диагноза lues latens, ибо в конце беременности далеко нередко у совершенно здоровых женщин наблюдаются положительные RW и RM, зависящие, по мнению авторов. от изменения содержания липоидов в крови. Необходимо производить серологическое исследование неоднократно, дабы исключить эту неспецифическую реакцию.
