Abstract
The first operation, performed at the end of the third week of the disease, did not give any special findings or effect, and only a second operation two weeks later opened the abscess. The path of penetration is between the bony part of the Eustachian tube and the canal of the carotid internal artery.

Первая операция, произведенная в конце третьей недели заболевания, не дала ни особых находок, ни эфекта, и лишь повторная операция через две недели вскрыла абсцесс. Путь проникновения—между костным отделом Евстахиевой трубы и каналом сонной внутренней артерии.
Особенность описываемого автором случая заключается: 1) в достаточной пневматизации кости, 2) в местонахождении абсцесса, 3) в характере изолированного проникновения для вскрытия, 4) в образовании вторичного абсцесса в носоглотке над глоточным отверстием Евстахиевой трубы и 5) поучителен Rö, не давший перед первой операцией никаких изменений, а перед второй—обнаруживший большую деструкцию костной ткани. Случай закончился полным излечением.
