Bacteriotherapy of gonorrhea in girls. Ryabtseva and Poller (Ven. and Derm., 1928, No. 3)

Abstract

An experience of this kind was made by Ryabtseva and Poller, who applied for therapeutic purposes the introduction of a tampon soaked in an emulsion of pure lactic acid culture into the vagina for 8-10 hours daily. The vagina was prewashed with 1% lactic acid solution. In 16 cases of gonorrhea in girls, the authors saw favorable results, manifested clinically by the cessation of separation, disappearance of inflammatory phenomena and bacteriologically by the disappearance of gonococci in smears and negative results of repeated cultures in all cases. The duration of treatment did not exceed 40 days.

Опыт этого рода был сделан Рябцевой и Поллер, применившим с лечебной целью введение ежедневно на 8—10 часов во влагалище тампона, пропитанного эмульсией из чистой культуры молочнокислой палочки. Влагалище предварительно промывалось 1% раствором молочной кислоты. В 16 случаях гонорреи у девочек авторы видели благоприятные результаты, проявлявшиеся клинически прекращением отделений, исчезновением воспалительных явлений и бактериологически — исчезновением гонококков в мазках и отрицательными результатами повторных посевов во всех случаях. Длительность лечения не превышала 40 дней.
