Treatment of neglected malignant tumors. Bernhardt (Klin. Woch., 1928, No. 16)

Abstract

Having tested various remedies proposed for the treatment of these tumors, Bernhardt found that the best of them was Isaminblau dye, the intravenous injection of which in a considerable percentage of cases leads not only to the halting of tumor progression and elimination of cachexia, but also to the reverse development of neoplasms. The disadvantage of this agent is the blue coloring of the skin caused by it.

Испытав различные средства, предложенные для лечения этих опухолей, Bernhardt нашел, что лучшим из них является краска Isaminblau, внутривенное введение которой в значительном проценте случаев ведет не только к остановке прогрессирования опухолей и устранению кахексии, но и к обратному развитию новообразований. Невыгодную сторону этого средства составляет вызываемая им голубая окраска кожи.
