Abstract

Before the introduction of the sewage in Prague, 400-500 people a year fell ill with typhoid fever and 67-70 died; when the sewage was finished, 150 people on the average fell ill with 20 deaths, and when the city was supplied with irreproachable drinking water, the corresponding figures dropped to 60 and 6.

По данным проф. G. Sаlus’a до введения канализации в Праге ежегодно заболевало брюшным тифом 400—500 чел. и умирало 67—70; когда канализация была закончена, заболевать стало в среднем по 150 чел. с 20 смертями, а по снабжении города безукоризненною питьевою водою соответственные цифры понизились до 60 и 6.
