Surgical treatment of diabetes. Denger (Polski prz. chir., 6)

Abstract

On the basis of experiments on dogs and cats, the author found that if we separate the caudal part of the pancreas, without violating the integrity of the vessels, and introduce between it and the rest of the pancreatis, in order to avoid the thickening of the omentum, then after this operation develops a sharp hypoglycemia, and the body better tolerates carbohydrates.

На основании опытов над собаками и кошками Denger нашел, что, если отделить хвостовую часть поджелудочной железы, без нарушения целости сосудов, и ввести между нею и остальною частью pancreatis, во избежание срощения сальник, то после этой операции развивается резкая гипогликэмия, и организм лучше переносит углеводы. По мнению автора, результаты этих опытов можно было-бы перенести и на человека, применяя указанную операцию в начальных случаях диабета.
