Abstract

The authors suggest determining the calcium content in the ear sediment. In cases of acute mastoiditis with bone necrosis, the amount of calcium increases to 33 mg. (on average) per 100.0 mg of pus, while in suppuration of soft parts or in acute otitis media this amount does not exceed 7.7-9.6 mg.

Friesner и Rosen предлагают определение содержания кальция в отделяемом из уха. В случаях острого мастоидита с некрозом кости количество кальция повышается до 33 мг. (в среднем) на 100,0 гноя в то время, как при нагноениях мягких частей или при острых отитах количество это не превышает 7,7—9,6 мг.
