On the question of the cultivation of gonococcus

Abstract

Dmitriev (Microb. Zhurn., 1928, vol. VII, issue 2), taking from 100 6th acute and subacute gonorrhea discharge from the urethra and finding gonococci there, he inoculated this discharge on various nutrient media, in order to identify the best for growing gonococci. Experiments show that Blut-agar is a good environment; the best, giving 98.2% positive results, placental blood agar without peptone.

Дмитриев (Микроб. Журн., 1928, т. VII, вып. 2), взяв у 100 б-ых острой и подострой гонорреей выделение из уретры и обнаружив там гонококки, производил посевы этого выделения на различные питательные среды, с целью выявить наилучшую для выращивания гонококков. Из опытов видно, что хорошей средой является Blut-agar; наилучшей, дающей 98,2% положительных результатов—плацентарный агар с кровью без пептона.
