Abstract
Studying patients with spinal cord lesions, the author found that if you make such a patient with positive Babinski's take a position on his stomach with his leg bent at right angles in the knee joint, instead of extending the thumb there is flexion or no motor effect.

Исследуя больных с поражением спинного мозга, Быховский нашел, что, если заставить такого больного с положительным Babinsкі’м принять положение на животе с согнутой в коленном суставе под прямым утлом ногой, то вместо экстензии большого пальца имеет место флексия или никакого двигательного эффекта. То же явление наблюдалось автором и у больных с поражениями головного мозга. Общая частота этого феномена—⅓ всех случаев с положительным Вabinsкі’м Удовлетворительного об’яснения ему автор дать не мог.
