Differential diagnosis between diabetic and hypoglycemic coma

Abstract

According to Wichmann, it is not always easy to distinguish these two conditions. The author advises to pay attention to the pulse, which in diabetic coma is frequent and small, but correct, while in hypoglycemic, it is frequent, irregular and arrhythmic.

По Wichmann’y (Münch. med. Woch., 1927, №4) отличить эти два состояния невсегда бывает легко. Автор советует обращать внимание па пульс, который при диабетической коме бывает част и мал, но правилен, при гиногликэмической же учащен, неправилен и аритмичен. При гипогликэмической коме часто наблюдается, далее, диплопия, и t° бывает ниже 36°, тогда как при coma diabeticum t° обычно бывает выше 36°.  Р.
