At the end of my employment at the Berlin Hygienic Institute, where I worked the entire summer semester, according to the program, given by my military medical scientist committee, I had to go to Munich, for the continuation of my busyness, the Munich hygienic vacation was not like the institute. hurrying to Munich, then I took a trip specially to inspect the aforementioned institutions in Silesia, then to Saxony, and finally on the road to Munich inspect the famous Bohemian resorts: Karlsbad, Franzensbad and Marienbad.

Abstract

A fracture was still relatively recently considered as an exclusively local disease, passing in a sick person without any complications from other parts of the body. But long-term and ablution showed the erroneousness of such an opinion and forced to recognize in urethritis suffering not only serious, but even dangerous (Trapeznikov), which can cause the development of endocarditis, peritonitis, pleurisy, stomatitis and, finally, various lesions of the nervous system.

Abstract

On the basis of 5 cases of echinococcus given by the author, of which one deserves attention for the ease of localization (pancreas), the author draws conclusions regarding the methods of operative treatment of this disease. (In the opinion of the author, who rightly admits that the echinococcal cyst is eliminated together with its fibrous bag (a method used in exceptional cases) as a radical method, the closed method is the most satisfactory method.

In ethology, a minor trauma, from which the development of the tumor was distant 4 months. Tumor growth is gradual, -in the course of 5 months up to a value of 19X11X8 ctm .; localization - in the occipital part: the primary appearance over the left mastoid process.

Having known a patient with cancer of the larynx, which also spread to the esophagus along his anterior-left wall, the author was forced to remove after extirpation of the larynx and this part of the esophagus, and received, also, a flaw of 12-13 ctm length; at what from the esophagus there was a narrow (in I ctm.) strip.

Congenital umbilical urinary fistulas can be of two types: 1) in the form of a thin tube that flows into the apex of the bladder and 2) in the form of a cone-shaped extension of the bladder, and the walls of this cone have a sufficiently developed muscle layer and capable of contraction.

Abstract

The author is an ardent supporter of Whitehead's hemorrhoid surgery. His statistical data, comparing the three operative procedures — bandaging, annealing and Whitehead’s — show 33’3% relapses for the first, 18.75% contractions for the second, while in the third the author did not have either one or the other.

M. Khvorostanskiy. New formation of the bladder. Surgery, 1904, No. 86

Abstract

The patient, observed by the author, during 3 months was used conservatively by washing the bladder. The failure of this treatment forced the author to make a test bladder opening. During the operation, a large amount of urine sand was found in the bladder (it came out early during urination and washing) and on the back wall there was leathery growth with a wide base, the size of a cherry.
