Double athetosis after air concussion. M. Е. Sobol (Sovr. Psikhonevr., 1927, No. 10)

Abstract

The author cites an interesting case where, as a result of an air contusion, there was bilateral hemorrhage in the area of the upper parts of the c. striati and partially pallidi. This localization explains the clinical picture observed here: double athetosis, mainly in the facial muscles and in the distal parts of the upper extremities, slight torsion and mild pyramidal symptoms on one side.

M. Е. Соболь приводит интересный случай, где в результате воздушной контузии произошло, по мнению автора, двустороннее кровоизлияние в области верхних отделов с. striati и отчасти pallidi. Этой локализацией автор и объясняет наблюдавшуюся здесь клиническую картину: двойной атетоз, преимущественно в мускулатуре лица и в дистальных отделах верхних конечностей, небольшую торзию и легкие пирамидные симптомы с одной стороны.
