Diagnostic value of the Bordet-Gendou reaction in the clinic of female gonorrhea

Abstract

Lvov (West. Sovr. Med., 1928, No. 21), examined 494 gonorrheal patients for the above reaction, in whom gonococcus was found only, in 38.9%; in other cases, the diagnosis was made by history, clinical presentation and serology. Open gonorrhea (acute and chronic) generally gives 26% of positive Bordet-Gengou reactions, closed - 84%. The most important conclusion: the presence of a gonococcus with open and closed gonorrhea increases the% of positive reactions, and thus the presence of a gonococcus gives the body a known immunity, which is found in the blood by the above reaction.

Львов (Вест. Совр. Мед., 1928, № 21), обследовал на вышеуказанную реакцию 494 гоноррейных больных, у которых гонококк обнаружен только, в 38,9%; в остальных случаях диагноз поставлен путем анамнеза, клиники и серологии. Открытая гоноррея (острая и хроническая) в общем дает 26% положительных реакций Bordet-Gengou, закрытая—84%. Наиболее важный вывод: присутствие гонококка при открытой и закрытой гоноррее повышает % положительных реакций и т. обр. наличие гонококка сообщает организму известный иммунитет, что обнаруживается в крови вышеуказанной реакцией.
