Method for correcting ptosis using a loops from the fascia lata of the thigh

Abstract

Derby (Americ. Journ. Of. Ophth. 1928) proposes an original method for correcting ptosis with a ligamentous fascia loop. Above the ciliary edge, the top, the eyelid is incised immediately to the cartilage. The upper edge of the incision is somewhat separated. Then, with a double-sided knife, on both sides of the midline, 2 channels are made subcutaneously, ending above the eyebrow. A strip cut from the wide fascia of the thigh (7-8 cm long and 1 cm wide) is passed in the form of a loop through these channels. The ends of the loop are brought out into the holes above the eyebrow, where they are sewn to the frontal muscle and skin. One eye patch for a week.

Derby (Americ. journ. of. ophth. 1928) предлагает оригинальный способ исправления птоза с помощью петли из широкой фасции бедра. Над ресничным краем верх, века проводится разрез сразу до хряща. Верхний край разреза несколько отсепаровывается. Затем обоюдо-сторонним ножом с обеих сторон от средней линии проделываются подкожно 2 канала, оканчивающиеся над бровью. Полоску, выкроенную из широкой фасции бедра (7—8 см. длины и 1 см. ширины), проводят в виде петли через эти каналы. Концы петли выводятся в отверстия над бровью, где и пришиваются к лобной мышце и коже. Повязка на один глаз в течение недели.
