Abstract
E. Kadischu. SW Ruan (Arch. F. Derm. U. Syph. Bd 154, H. 2, 1928), having worked for several years with the cultivation of gonococcus, and having tested a number of different culture media, they think that Levinthаlʹya medium is the most convenient and acceptable, however, the technique of its preparation has not yet undergone final development. They modified Levinthal's medium by preparing it with horse or lamb blood and adding 1.8-1.85% agar. The second part of the work is devoted to the study of the lifespan of a gonococcus on everyday objects: sponges, canvas rags and pine sticks. Observing the vital activity of gonococci on these objects under various conditions, room temperature, glacier temperature and in a thermostat, the authors come to the conclusion that gonococci are able to remain viable on wet sponges, pieces of wood and canvas rags for 24 hours at room temperature: in culture liquids, as well as in flowing water, during the same period.

Е. Каdischu. S. W. Ruan (Arch. f. Derm. u. Syph. Bd 154, H. 2, 1928 г.) работая уже в течение нескольких лет с культивированием гонококка, и испытав ряд различных питательных сред, думают, что среда Levinthаlʹя является наиболее удобной и приемлемой, однако, техника ее приготовления еще не подверглась окончательной разработке. Они видоизменили среду Levinthal’я, приготовляя ее с лошадиной или бараньей кровью и добавляя 1,8-1,85% агара. Вторая часть работы посвящена изучению продолжительности жизни гонококка на предметах жизненного обихода: губках, холщевых тряпочках и сосновых палочках. Наблюдая за жизнедеятельностью гонококков на этих предметах в различных условиях, t° комнаты, t° ледника и в термостате, авторы приходят к выводу, что гонококки в состоянии сохранять жизнеспособность на влажных губках, кусочках дерева и холщевых тряпочках в течение 24 часов при температуре комнаты: в культуральных жидкостях также, как и текучей воде, в течение этого же срока.
