New and little-known katidids of the genera Psyrana Uvarov and Pseudopsyra Hebard (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae, Phaneropterinae) from the Indo-Malayan and Papuan regions

Abstract

The composition, diagnostic characters and some species of two genera of the tribe Holochlorini ( Psyrana Uvarov, 1940 and Pseudopsyra Hebard, 1922) are considered. Each of these genera is subdivided into two subgenera, and the following new taxa are described: Adentipsyra subgen. n. (in Psyrana s. l.); Psyrana ( Psyrana ) simulator sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) imitativa sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) cercomorpha sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) estrini sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) tamdao sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) papua sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) papua halmahera subsp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) signata sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) parasignata sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) parasignata simplex subsp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) striata sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) parastriata sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) ampla sp. n.; Psyrana ( Psyrana ) ministriata sp. n.; Psyrana ( Adentipsyra ) pulchra sp. n.; Psyrana ( Adentipsyra ) pulchra proxima subsp. n.; Diapsyra subgen. n. (in Pseudopsyra s. l.); Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) carinata sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) spinata sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) dentata sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) curvata sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) fomichevi sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Diapsyra ) thaiensis sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Diapsyra ) vietensis sp. n.; Pseudopsyra ( Diapsyra ) lata sp. n. The lectotype of Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) sondaica (Carl, 1921), comb. n. is designated; female of Pseudopsyra ( Pseudopsyra ) taksini Тan et al., 2017 is described for the rst time; some other new data on a few previously decribed species are also given.
