The aim of our work was to study in detail the clinical effect of hemosorption in patients with unstable angina pectoris. Sixty-two male patients with coronary heart disease were examined. All patients were diagnosed with unstable angina by WHO criteria (1979), 31 of them had postinfarction cardiosclerosis. In 48 patients the duration of the disease did not exceed 5 years, in 14 - it was more than 5 years. Arterial hypertension was detected in 22 patients.
