It is known that in the heart muscle, depending on the conditions, mainly glucose, fatty acids, ketone bodies, lactate, amino acids are utilized as energy substrates. The possibility of autonomous synthesis of NAD-coenzymes apparently contributes to the provision of multidisciplinary enzymatic processes for catabolism, energy supply, and anabolic transformations.
