Recently, Weitzn Sterkel observed that when X-ray of the stomach the latter gives a different picture if the X-ray occurs in a cold room than when it is done at ordinary room temperature, namely, in a cold room the stomach is hypertonic, which Friedrich (Zeit.fd ges. physik. Therapie, 1924, Bd. 28) considers not as a result of the direct action of cold, but as a reflex phenomenon, due to irritation of the parasympathetic nerve plexus.</p>Kazan Medical archiveКазанский медицинский архив
