Gergardt explains this beneficial effect of adrenaline by the fact that, by stimulating dilatation of the bronchi, it weakens the tension of their constrictors and thus resolves bronchial spasm. However, prolonged use of adrenaline leads to a weakening or even to the destruction of its beneficial effect in bronchial asthma; this leads the researchers to assume that under the influence of the injected adrenaline, substances are formed that cause sensitization of the body to the allergen.</p>Kazan Medical archiveКазанский медицинский архив
