Аннотация
The article presents the history of formation and development of J. T. Toshchenko’s scientific and educational model at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH). Relying on the historical traditions of the Russian school of sociology, the first dean of the sociology faculty realized an original model of sociological education, including teaching a general course of sociology to students of non-sociological specialties and professional training of sociologists. During 26 years of his work at the Russian State University of Sociology, J. T. Toshchenko managed to gather a creative team of teachers, scientists and like-minded people, who not only trained 1550 professional sociologists, including 21 candidates of sociological sciences. Also realized large-scale scientific projects on the study of the life world of Russians, precariat as a new class, and the fate of the social contract in Russia. The results of J. T. Toshchenko’s scientific and educational school are represented by monographs, textbooks, reference books, as well as scientific publications in Russian and international journals.
